The purpose of our organization is to bring together people who are interested in promoting family 4 wheeling, fostering safety and education of 4 wheel drive vehicles.
We foster safety through observance of the state and national vehicle laws, aid in the conservation of natural resources, and aid in making these versatile vehicles available in case of any emergency in which they may be required. Our organization supports the efforts of the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc., and it's members in all of their endeavors.
It is not the intent of Club to infringe on the natural wilderness to the exclusion of any other person and we adhere to the goals and policies of the U.S. Forest Service's Adopt-A-Trail Program, Bureau of Land Management, and also to Tread Lightly. :o)

Today, the Association represents over 8,000 members and 160 member clubs. We are the largest organization of this type in the State and represent owners of all makes and models of 4WD vehicles, as well as non-owners who support responsible vehicle oriented recreation.

The American Sand Association is exactly what the name implies… an association. There are no secret handshakes, no funny hats. It is, for lack of a better term, a "gathering spot" for people of like minds to join together for fun, activism, information and support. As the banner reads, the goal of the American Sand Association is to Unite, Inform and Mobilize.
The ASA is a non-profit 501c(4) organization managed and promoted by an all volunteer army. The continued success of the American Sand Association depends heavily on continued monetary support from its members and the surrounding OHV community.

Our Objective!
To unite the many people who enjoy the Oceano Dunes in a cohesive organization that can promote and reinforce responsible recreation. This will be accomplished by developing a large network of FRIENDS and collecting donations to accomplish our objective. We support ALL forms of responsible recreation and we will work to ensure continued access to the ODSVRA. |
